How To Make Pizza Crust At Home

Want to know how to make pizza crust at home? It’s really easy. Follow me.

Just five ingredients are needed to make a great pizza crust: flour, water, salt, oil and yeast. Look for a recipe on the Internet with at least these five things in it to create a simple, but good, pizza crust.

Before we start, we should mention a good cooking habit to get into. Measure out and assemble all your recipe ingredients before you start. That way the whole mixing procedure can go very quickly and without stopping.

It’s a good idea to mix all your dry ingredients first before adding any liquid. Mix the flour, salt and yeast, then add the water. Make sure the water is around 105 degrees to allow the yeast to work.

You’ll need a stout spoon or other utensil to combine the ingredients as it gets stiff quickly. Once you have the first ingredients mixed, add the oil. Stir again until everything is incorporated.

Now you have to knead the dough. Put a little flour in a shallow dish next to your work area. You’ll need it soon to keep the dough from sticking to you as you work. Put the dough on a flour-dusted surface and begin kneading.

A good method of kneading is to push the dough down and away from you. Then fold the dough back over itself, turn it 90 degrees and push it down and away again. Repeat this again and again for about 5 minutes. When the dough ball starts to look smooth and shiny and seems very elastic, you’re done.

After placing the dough in an oiled bowl, move it all around to coat with the oil. Put plastic wrap over it and put it in a warm part of the kitchen. After about two hours it should be doubled in size.

Take the dough out of the bowl and put it on a floured work surface. Work it down into a rough equivalent of the shape you’ll be wanting, then begin rolling it out with a rolling pin. Work it down evenly until you get your desired thickness.

When it’s evenly rolled out, carefully transfer to your baking pan. Trim, cut and pull the dough as necessary to fit the pan. Make a crust of dough around the edge if you like. It’s a matter of taste.
