The Lemonade Diet or Master Cleanse Diet or master cleanse diet, is a relatively simple process that is said to detoxify the body. Many claim that it also helps with weight loss. It has gained popularity recently thanks to celebrities like Beyonce. She claims that the lemonade diet helped her lose 20 pounds of fat. Just remember, this diet is not a pleasant process. However, if you still wish to try it, here are the steps.
The first part of the lemonade diet is designed to wean you off of processed food and meats. On day one you will eliminate the aforementioned foods and eat only fruits and vegetables. On day two you will drink only fresh squeezed fruit and vegetable juice. Then on day three you will drink two liters of orange juice. You’re also allowed a two liters of water with a table spoon of maple syrup for energy.
The main part referred to as the Lemonade Diet is an intense process that will be challenging. There are three steps that need to occur on a daily basis. The first step is about preparing your lemonade for the day. As soon as you wake up go into the kitchen and prepare your “meals.”
RECIPE
You will need to gather 14 tablespoons of hand squeezed lemon juice, three 1-liter reusable bottles, 14 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper, and two liters of water. Place seven tablespoons of the lemon juice into a 1-liter bottle and repeat with a second bottle. Do the same with the maple syrup, add the cayenne pepper and fill it with water. Fill your third bottle full of water as you will need to drink it throughout the day to give your body the illusion you are full.
The 2nd step of the lemonade diet entails drinking the lemonade and water all day long. When you feel hungry drink lemonade and follow it with several sips of purified water. You must drink the entire two liters of lemonade by the end of the day.
For some master cleanse dieters, the most challenging part of this process is the salt water flush. The idea is to drink sea salt water with a precise ratio of salt to water. You’ll need to mix one liter of like warm water with a tsp. of salt. Try to drink the mixture as fast as possible, without hurling. After consuming the salt water you’ll need to be close to a toilet for a couple hours. You’ll be eliminating toxins from your colon with this process. After you can last 15-minutes without eliminating you’re safe to carry on with your day normally. Many people do this part of the diet in the evening or first thing in the morning.
How long should you stay on the master cleanse diet? most lemonade dieters do it for 3-days while other can remain on it for up to 2-weeks. Remember, this diet is not for everyone. Contact your doctor before you try it. The next step of the diet is known as the ease out part. It is essential part of the diet, so you don’t get sick. Also, remember that the master cleanse diet is a detoxification process. This is not a fat loss plan. Your metabolism will slow down if you choose to do this diet. I’ll explain.
If you started the diet with a 200 horsepower engine, you will finish the lemon aid diet with a smaller engine. The longer you stay on it the smaller your engine will be. So don’t do this for weight loss. If you choose to go on this diet, do it to flush your colon, not as an attempt to lose fat.
How to ease back into food:
On the 1st day you’ll drink 3 one liter bottles of O.J. with 2 Tbsp. of maple syrup in each.
On the second day drink fruit and vegetable juice or broth.
On the third day re-introduce your body to fresh fruits and vegetables.
Fourth eat whatever you’d like, just be sure to focus on “eating clean”.
If you choose not to follow the ease-out process prepared to become nauseous and possibly sick.
